we just love cricket

The Committee and the members of the Fylde Coast Cricket Society welcome you and invite you to view their website full of information about the society.

Who are we?

The Fylde Coast Cricket Society are supporters of cricket who meet once a month from November to March for an evening of cricket conversation and a dinner at the Queens Hotel in Blackpool. At each dinner a guest speaker is invited to give the society members a talk and to take a short question and answer session.

November Dinner

The first dinner of the new season will be held on November 10th and the speaker will be Bob Dearden of Heywood CC.

As ever we are looking for new members to keep the Society in existence. Please spread the word about the Society and encourage cricket lovers to come and join us for the next season in November.

Speaker Secretary

During the summmer our Speaker Secretary, Mike Young, announced that he was stepping down from the post. He has found it increasingly difficult to attract speakers to the Society given the limited budget that we have available. The Committee would like to thank Mike for all his efforts over the past number of years and for arranging so many top notch speakers to our meetings. We wish Mike well for the future.

2016 - 17 Programme

The Committe have confirmed the schedule for the 2016 - 2017 season of dinners and announced the confirmed speakers arranged to date. The dinners will all be held at Blackpool North Shore Golf Club, Devonshire Road Blackpool. Membership remains unchanged at £5 for the season.

The 2016 - 17 programme has been confirmed following the AGM at Blackpool CC.

We rely totally on raising funds through the dinners and the support of the members is vital if the Society is to continue. Please encourage any of your friends with an interest in our game or in sport to consider attending a dinner next season. New members are always welcome!

New members and guests are always welcome. Membership costs only £5 per person a year and each member receives a £2 per person discount for each of the dinners during the course of the season and is also invited to the Society AGM each October. Non-members are welcome to attend the dinners.

The cost of the dinners will be £16 for members and £18 for non-members.
